018 - Selective Memory History

From a Parisian atrocity to a Malagasy monarch, both of our stories today feature challenges in storytelling. In one, because the French would rather forget it happened, in the other, because of unreliable narrators...including the French. We're spilling the tea on the Vel' d'Hiv Round Up in WWII and then spilling blood with Ranavalona the Mad Queen of Madagascar.
